Our aim is to help our customers as their agent in China!

Our services include product research, sourcing and factory visits plus inspection. Asia One Direct  (AOD) is now an agent for companies in Europe and USA for gift items, garden and household furniture and other household products. We also source motor bikes, lawn mowers, super-market equipment, air conditioners and tiles.

We have an experienced quality control (QC) team based in Shanghai and Guangdong, China. They are able to inspect factories for all the products that our customer’s need to have inspected, even if they have not placed their orders through us.

We can also arrange an inspection by our QC team so they can issue an English inspection report on the same day as the inspection takes place. The games company Fundex is one of our largest customers that we assist with factory inspections in different Chinese cities. Fundex ships many card game items to US market.

To ensure the very highest quality standards, we practice tight QC procedures throughout the production process. The personnel carrying out our QC inspections are experienced and have been with us for a long time. A measure of our QC standards is that they have passed many independent inspections over the years and continue to fulfill our customer’s requirements and standards.      

Additionally, we are able to offer our customers a high level of quality assurance through our vigorous safety tests that conform to the highest standards of both EU and the USA. We are able to work to the EU’s standards plus being able to comply with the exacting USA standards.

In Hong Kong we have a dedicated sales and merchandising team that are able to work closely with our customers to produce samples and production items on time.

They work closely with our supplier teams and our multi-lingual staffs translate customer desires in a short time. They then liaise with factories to ensure that production times are met. In all we offer a first class and highly personal service to our customers.

AGENT SERVICE DETAILS AND SERVICE CHARGE

As an agent, Asia One Direct provides a coordinated process from product searching and sourcing, to the shipment release. Services include factory visits and audits. Products develop & modification, quotation request to include comparison and bargaining on our client’s behalf. Merchandise follow up, shipping documentation preparation and arranging merchandise shipments.  

Service charges are determined by the order amount in % charge. Average 7% for order amount less than US$100,000.00. This can be negotiated for amount over or order amount forecast per year. Additional charge for special services requested. Such as factory audit / inspection / arrange and attend meetings / exhibition attendance are all charged by man-days incurred.

INSPECTION SERVICE DETAILS AND SERVICE CHARGE

Regarding the inspection service, please find herewith the details :

Normally the customer would apply for Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) for the goods before any shipment. This takes place when the merchandise is 100% completed, packed and ready for shipment. Our inspectors draw a random sample of finished products.  The samples are drawn based on a statistical sampling method, most commonly known as ANSI/ASQCE1.4, MIL-STD-105E, BS6001 and etc. We check QUANTITY, MATERIAL, WORKMANSHIP, COLOR, SIZE SPECIFICATIONS, FUNCTION, SHIPPING MARK AND PACKING DETAILS, all with a concern to meet the contract, Purchase Order, confirmed samples or specifications.

After inspection, we will issue our formal inspection report to customer in the next working day together with some digital photos taken during on-site inspection. After reviewing our inspection reports, customer will make the decision whether the goods can be shipped or not.

For inspection services, we charge based on man-day rate (one man works a day-8 hours), plus traveling expenses and hotel if necessary. Our man-day rate is USD150-USD200, the Traveling expenses will be reimbursed for the actual cost, USD50 per head per night if the hotel is needed. Normally, for a 20' container of goods of the same item, we may finish the inspection within one man-day.

Asia One Direct has three branch offices along China’s industrial coastline where most of the manufacturers are mainly located. We will use the services of the closet branch office to the factory to be inspected to save time and your money. Our offices are located in:

The location of the factory (which city is the closest?)

We may be able to quote the exact cost immediately for you since the number of man-days we need depends on the quantity we check. Generally speaking, for inspection on a 20' container of goods of the same items, if the factory is located close to one of our branches, the total cost will be US$150 or so.
